Beyond The East

Grand Canyon

This breath taking national park had been on my bucket list for so long! I was fortunate enough to go February of 2026 so let me tell you all about it! We took a helicopter ride from Las Vegas with a company called Maverick Helicopter, the ride there was about an hour, and you fly over the Hoover Dam! Once you land they offer you champagne and snacks! They gave us ample time to walk around and explore while also watching the sunset from inside! The views were breath taking and they also told you about the history of the land! The ride back is a little longer because they have to stop for gas but they fly you over the Las Vegas strip at night and you get to see all the lights! I would wear long sleeves, inside the canyon it was around 50 degrees.

Las Vegas

Sin City! This place is so much fun! I landed around 9pm, dropped my stuff off at the hotel and went out gambling! There was so much to see from the Eiffel Tower, The Fountains of Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace, and all the Hotels. We stayed right in the middle at Aria and chose to head north one day and south the next. I was able to see the whole city in just 2 days. I definitely recommend good walking shoes! The weather is tricky, it becomes so hot during the day where you want to be in a bikini in the middle of February but then bundle up at night, however I never needed a coat. My favorites hotel to see was Excalibur and the gabling was cheap, I would definitely stay there if I went again.

Chicago and Milwaukee

These two cities remind me so much of Boston and New York City, and they are close together. The only thing they are missing is the salt water in the air! but you still get amazing views from the great lakes!Â
